so why would you nerf the monk build because someone, obviously smarter than you, came up with an insane build that by all means should not work but does? that just doesnt make sense, along with the complete and utter annihilation of every single good item drop? so far anet hasnt done things that made much sense to us, but they have their reasons. im not saying they are right...but if they think nerfing everything will stop botters, more power to them, it just makes the day they change everything back to normal and are forced to admit what they did was wrong even though they keep telling us its for us...its for us...allll that much sweeter

That is the same thing I get. (S)He is not full of crap. I seem to get better drops if I take on a bunch at once. If I only grab a couple all I get are remains and dust. Might just be coincidence though.

I also get half of my ectos from the Aatxes instead of the smites.

I've noticed a huge change in UW drops, but for the better actually. Before, with my ranger, I did 4-5 man trapping groups regularly, in dozens of runs, only saw 1 storm bow drop and maybe 3-4 ectos (none for me). I started using a variation of the 105 monk a month or so ago to do solos, and I average about 1 ecto per run, and at least 1-2 eternal bows/shields and storm bows. Yeah, almost all my ectos come from aatxes too.

I must beg to differ, my smite monk build netted me 2-3 sometimes even 4 globs a run. I got my friend his fissure armor within days. Some days I would do 6 runs and have 15 globs. Now, it's nothing. I get zip, but it's ok, I am bored senseless with UW and to be frank quite bored with GW as a whole unless they get some new stuff in. But it is more than possible, I did it many many times.

i farm giffs and rolls and one thing ive noticed is drops are signifigantly better at night. usually between 12am-4am eastern standard time. [edit: so maybe the same applies here]
